Government agencies are actively working to concentrate AI development into a small number of controllable companies, similar to how they consolidated banking after 2008.
The Biden administration held meetings explicitly stating they would prevent AI startups from succeeding, wanting only 2-3 large controlled companies.
"Debanking" has become a powerful political weapon, with government pressure causing banks to close accounts of individuals and companies involved in crypto, tech, and other targeted sectors.
Silicon Valley has split into two dinner party circuits: one where everyone robotically agrees with the New York Times, and another where people actually discuss ideas openly.
WHY IT MATTERS
The fight over AI control will determine whether innovation remains open and competitive or becomes centrally controlled like in China. This affects everything from how children learn to who gets loans to basic daily freedoms.
MY TAKES
The idea of “Debanking” blows my mind.
The fact that companies can lose access to banking simply because someone disagrees with them isn’t just absurd—it’s a dangerous precedent.
